New Release: Transcription Language Choices

We are delighted to announce that the latest release of (version 1.36) contains on of our most requested features – the ability to select a transcription language for a call.

You can select a default language for your organization and then override the default for a particular room where you may be discussing a topic with colleagues in a different language. Alternatively, you can just choose a language at the start of each call.

The full list of languages that are currently supported by automatic speech to text transcription for calls are:

Other improvements in this release include:

Download of a call transcript.

Once a call has been transcribed, a download link is now available. The file is formatted as a tab separated variable (.tsv) which can easily be opened into Excel or Google Sheets and shows each snippet of text along with the username, time offset in the call and a link back to replay the call in so that you can hear exactly what was originally said.

Improvements to the screen layout for video calls and screen sharing.

The size and positions of the other callers is now optimised to make the best use of the space available. If one person starts screen sharing, the screen is automatically rearranged to prioritise the size of the shared screen so that everyone can see the information being shared in the highest detail.
