Yack.net CEO shares his insight with Just Entrepreneurs

Our CEO Alan talked to Just Entrepreneurs recently to share his experiences of launching a new transcription product earlier this year. After two years of development, one of his main takeaways from this year was to ‘never underestimate the amount of effort you will have to spend on optimising the user experience of your product’. An example of this optimisation in action is that as we’ve shown Yack to more and more people, we’ve taken on their feedback and streamlined the sign up process as a result.

Advice to other CEOs at the launch stage

Continually refining your offering and service is key, and as we all know in the Yack office, nothing stays the same for very long! There are always new technologies to experiment with and new ideas to add to the roadmap. We’re keen to integrate Yack more into the way your business currently works, so keep an eye out for developments that sit alongside your present workflows and tools next year.

In the article Alan also discusses what he would change about his product launch if he knew what he does now. Hint: it isn’t to do with software development! We’ve learned that it’s best to do as much groundwork as you can, as early as you can. This means that as your efforts to get your name out there ramp up, you already have a good base to work from and you see results sooner. In other words, try not to run before you’re already walking!
